إِنَّها بَينَ عامِرِ بنِ لُؤَيٍّ

إِنَّها بَينَ عامِرِ بنِ لُؤَيٍّ

حينَ تُدعى وَبَينَ عَبدِ مَنافِ

حينَ تُدعى وَبَينَ عَبدِ مَنافِ

Indeed, she stands between ʿĀmir ibn Luʾayy,

She is between Amir, son of Luayy,

when her lineage is named, and ʿAbd Manāf.

When she is called, and between Abd Manaf,

وَلَها في المُطَيَّبينَ جُدودٌ

وَلَها في المُطَيَّبينَ جُدودٌ

ثُمَّ نالَت ذَوائِبَ الأَحلافِ

ثُمَّ نالَت ذَوائِبَ الأَحلافِ

And she has forebears among the Perfumed Ones,

She has noble ancestors among the perfumed,

then she reached the crests of the Confederates.

Then she attained the tails of covenants.
