Upon him is a full-length coat of mail with ample sleeves,
Upon him the looseness of the robes flowing,
As though blossoms had wandered through its expanse.
As though light itself had wandered through its folds,

The spearhead recoils from it, chipped,
The spear point turns away from him, chipped and broken,
And the sword bends back from it, though keenly honed.
The sword bends back from him, even when sharpened and ready.
