Spears that were not impaired in battle when
A spear that you did not harm in the battle when
you thrust with them, though you had not sharpened their points.
You stabbed with it, so that its blades may not be blunted,

And the free horses did not shy from the attack

Out of caution for what you have apportioned of its reins,

amid a dust cloud, beneath which your sword
At the time of an assault, your sword was not under it,
and your face were nothing but its sun and crescent moon.
And your face was nothing but its sun and its crescent.
