إِذاif كُنتَyou are عَيّاباًa habitual faultfinder عَلىof الناسِpeople فَاِحتَرِسthen beware
إِذا كُنتَ عَيّاباً عَلى الناسِ فَاِحتَرِس
لِنَفسِكَfor yourself مِمّاagainst what أَنتَyou لِلناسِto people قائِلُهُsaying it
لِنَفسِكَ مِمّا أَنتَ لِلناسِ قائِلُهُ
If you are given to finding fault with people, then beware
If you fault others, take care
for your own sake of what you say to them.

وجدناwe found الوليدal-Walid بنson of اليزيدal-Yazid مباركاblessed
وجدنا الوليد بن اليزيد مباركا
مطيقاable to bear لأعباءfor the burdens الخلافةthe caliphate كاهلهhis shoulders
مطيقا لأعباء الخلافة كاهله
We found al-Walid ibn al-Yazid blessed,
We found Al-Walid bin Al-Yazid blessed
his shoulders able to bear the burdens of the caliphate.
