جعلmay make اللهGod كلَّevery عصرٍage جديداًnew
جعل الله كلَّ عصرٍ جديداً
بكthrough you ياO مالكاًsovereign جواداًgenerous مُجيداaccomplished
بك يا مالكاً جواداً مُجيدا
May God make every age new
God has made every new age,
through you, O generous, accomplished sovereign.
With you O generous noble Malik,
ثمthen لاmay not زلتَyou cease تَقْتضيyou obtain فيin نعيمbliss
ثم لا زلتَ تَقْتضي في نعيم
كلَّevery يومday منof السرورjoy مزيداan increase
كلَّ يوم من السرور مزيدا
Then may you continue, in bliss, to gain
Yet you continue to reap in bliss,
more joy each day.
Every day more joy and pleasure.
تُلْبِسُyou clothe الملكَkingship والخلافةand the caliphate عزّاًglory
تُلْبِسُ الملكَ والخلافة عزّاً
وتَغِيظand you enrage العداthe enemies وتُشْجِيand you grieve الحسوداthe envious one
وتَغِيظ العدا وتُشْجِي الحسودا
You clothe kingship and the caliphate in glory,
You adorn the king and caliphate with glory,
and enrage the enemies and grieve the envious.
And anger the enemies and please the envious.
أنتَyou صيّرتyou have made ليfor me بنُعماكthrough your bounty فيin
أنتَ صيّرت لي بنُعماك في
كلّevery صباحٍmorning منof المكارمnoble deeds عيداa festival
كلّ صباحٍ من المكارم عيدا
Through your bounty, you have made for me
You have made for me with your bounties,
a festival of noble deeds every morning.
Every morning a feast of favors.
لاmay not أقرّgladden الإلهGod عيناًan eye لشانيfor one who hates
لا أقرّ الإله عيناً لشاني
كyou وأعطاكand may He grant you فيin البقاءcontinued existence الخلوداimmortality
ك وأعطاك في البقاء الخلودا
May God never gladden the eye of one who hates
May God not please the eye of one hostile to you,
you, and may He grant you everlasting life.
And grant you eternity in enduring.
