I see the night at the Monastery of al-Qusayr as though
I see the night in Dayr al-Qusayr as though
suns rise before us from its two courtyards.
Suns are looking upon us from its two courtyards
يلذّis sweet التصابيyouthful frolic فيin ذَرَاهits shelter كأنماas though
تُجَدَّدare renewed للزوّارِfor the visitors فيهin it نفوسsouls
Youthful frolic is sweet in its shelter, as though
Strolling in its particles is pleasurable as though
souls are renewed there for the visitors.
The souls of visitors are rejuvenated in it
فمنso whoever كانwas محبوساًheld captive علىby حبّlove of لذَةٍpleasure
فإنيthen indeed I علىto ديرِthe monastery of القصيرal-Qusayr حبِيسa captive
So if anyone is held captive by the love of pleasure,
So whoever is imprisoned by love of pleasure
then I am a captive to the Monastery of al-Qusayr.
I am imprisoned by Dayr al-Qusayr
