إلى دير القُصَير صبا فؤادي

إلى دير القُصَير صبا فؤادي

وقد يصبو الخطير إلى الخطير

وقد يصبو الخطير إلى الخطير

My heart yearned for the monastery of al-Qusayr,

and the noble may well yearn for the noble.

محلّ جلَّ أن تُعْزَى إليه

محلّ جلَّ أن تُعْزَى إليه

محلاَّتُ الخَوَرْنَقِ والسَدِيرِ

محلاَّتُ الخَوَرْنَقِ والسَدِيرِ

A place too exalted to be compared with

the abodes of al-Khawarnaq and al-Sadir.
