Your star has shone amid glory and victory,

And your face has gathered the light of the sun and moon.

O rising star of fortune after the fall—and it has indeed

    Arrived without hindrance or gloom.

Under your rule, the world has yielded to its seeker,

As though your command within it outstrips fate.

And kingship has shone since you were clothed in its robe of honor,

And time has grown sweet in coming to water and returning.

You are al-Aziz, without whose caliphate

Justice would not have spread among humankind.

It is as though your age, from the radiance of its splendor,

Were the unfolding of roses amid gardens and flowers.
