Drink, for this is a favorable night;
Drink, for this is an enchanting night,
Revelry has already sounded its organ within it.
The revelry is in full swing.

And the Nile has already battled the east wind,
The Nile has battled the northern breeze,
Then appeared wearing its coat of mail.
Then appeared wearing its armor.

Rise, let us conquer fate! For I am a man
Who has sworn by intoxication to cheat it.
Who has vowed to subdue it.
