When the lord of the Marīsī wind rises in gusts,

Just before dawn, and cold settles in every pass,

And the cloud buttons its robes across the horizon,

Then rise and meet it with gear and spears:

With shelter, a brazier, and a cup of wine,

And a purse, an ample vulva, and roast meat,

And every dark cloak and crimson-dyed one,

As the water of youth has reddened both cheeks.

I have gathered seven words beginning with kāf for you; they had not

Been gathered before me by any man of letters.
