At Bulbays I encountered imminent departure.
In Bulbais I met the green of bent twigs
So may the earth swiftly swallow it!
Yet found it from hastening its loss
ولاand may not جادهwater it abundantly الغيثthe rain مِنas منزلٍa dwelling
ولا جاده الغيث مِن منزلٍ
كأنّas though مجالسَهits sitting rooms كُنْفُهُits latrines
كأنّ مجالسَه كُنْفُهُ
And may rain never water such a dwelling:
Nor did rain aid it from any halt
Its sitting rooms seem to be its latrines.
As if its dwellings were its bosom

And for a desolate dwelling, it is enough for you
And enough for you from a desolate halt
That three-fifths of its name describe it.
Three fifths of it and describe it
