سلام اللهِ والنعماء تَتْرَى

ووافدة السرور على نزار

ووافدة السرور على نزار

God’s peace and blessings, following one upon another,

May God's peace and blessings come in succession,

and joy’s glad visitation, be upon Nizar—

And a visitation of joy be upon Nizar—

على المرضِي العلا قولاً وفعلاً

على المرضِي العلا قولاً وفعلاً

وكاشف غُمَّة الكُرَب الكِبار

وكاشف غُمَّة الكُرَب الكِبار

upon the departed uncle, an uncle in word and deed,

Upon him whose nobility is commendable in word and deed,

the lifter of the pall of great afflictions.

And who dispels the gloom of great afflictions.

إذا ما نحن زُرْناه فإنا

إذا ما نحن زُرْناه فإنا

نزورُ نَدىً يَزيدُ على البحار

نزورُ نَدىً يَزيدُ على البحار

Whenever we visit him, indeed we

Whenever we visit him, we indeed

visit a bounty surpassing the seas.

Visit generosity greater than the seas.
