أَنا أَبو سَعدٍ إِذا اللَيلُ دَجا

دَخَلتُ في سِربالِهِ ثُمَّ النَجا

دَخَلتُ في سِربالِهِ ثُمَّ النَجا

I am Abu Sa‘d; when the night grows dark,

I am Abū Saʿd, when night falls

I enter its cloak, then take flight.

I enter into its robe then the salvation
