Nestor was by the cup of drink
Listening to uproar and clamor.
Listening to the tumult and commotion

When it calmed down, he said, I think
May come from the clash of weapons.
Perhaps it would ward off the sounds of combat

Their dust rises. Stay; do not depart.

They organized troops and did not rest them
That is precisely the enemies' desire;
Their blood rather weighed their weapons

And when the soldiers, from behind them,

Only Hector did not want withdrawal

The Trojans called out, as Fuscid did,
With words that have wounded me.
