مولاي عيد النحر تاه على السهى

لما رآك وعن مديحك ما سها

My lord, the Feast of Sacrifice vaunted itself above Suhā

when it saw you, and was not heedless of praising you.

ثنيتَ رونقه ونلتَ ثوابه

فاسلم لنا وله وللدنيا بها

You doubled its splendor and gained its reward.

So live unharmed, a splendor for us, for it, and for the world.

لا زلت للأشغال روح مسرةٍ

يحيا بإذن اللَه من يحظى بها

May you ever remain a spirit of joy amid labors,

by God's leave, whoever is blessed with it lives.

من ذا الذي حاكاك يا نور التقى ال

بض الذي عن كل فاحشةٍ نهى

Who is it that has matched you, O light of piety, the

fair one who forbade every indecency?

صفت العقول من الخمول فأرختْ

فضل الزكي محمد صان النهى

Minds grew clear of torpor and so recorded the date:

“The virtue of the pure Muhammad safeguarded reason.”
