  1. دعوا للغيد قطركم النباتي

    وواسوني بقطر لمى البنات

    Leave your plant-derived syrup to the graceful maidens;

    And console me with drops from maidens' dusky lips.

  2. وعن تحريف آياتي تنحو

    فقد جاءت لكم بالمعجزات

    And refrain from distorting my verses,

    For they have come to you bearing miracles.
