God created no sun like Helena,
God did not create a sun like Hilana
nor fashioned anyone else as queen of the graceful maidens.
Nor a land for the gazelles except her kingdom

Gentle in nature, yet her eye
Delicate in nature, though her glances
is deadly with the swords of coquetry, bewitching.
Are deadly with the swords of coquetry and temptation

Her cheek an apple, her breast a pomegranate

One day I drew near her to kiss her,
One day I drew near to kiss her
and thought the narcissus of her eyelids was drowsy.
And left the narcissi of her eyelids drowsy

Then her anklet said to me, 'Beware of approaching her!
But her anklet said to me “Beware approaching her”
Do you not see the thicket of the hall is awake?'
Do you not see the watchfulness of the chambers’ guard?
