Fasting has departed, and the feast has arrived.
Ramadan has ended and Eid has come,
So now the sons of purity have no excuse.
So the people of goodness now have no excuse.

A moon bears these cups in procession;
These cups are brought by a shining moon,
In his two palms lie reason and command.
With freedom and authority in its comfort.

If you were content with the nectar of his smiling mouth,
If you would be content with its pure nectar,
It would spare you the need for what wine can do.
It would suffice you instead of what wine does.

So drink beside his forelock's sweet basil,
So drink to the scent of its basil,
Wine whose fragrance comes from his scent.
At ease with the fragrance it releases.

The world has turned in favor of a man of refinement,
The world has leaned toward one with charm
Whom slave and free alike praise.
Praised by slave and freeman alike.

May graceful pleasure never cease for him,
Playful joy never leaves him
And reverence and glory remain for the sincere.
Nor solemnity and pride and glory.

Benevolent, he visits his slaves out of generosity;
Goodness visits his servants out of kindness
And in their homes lies an ocean of his bounty.
And in turn, their generosity is an ocean from his bounty.

Humble, and a son of the great—never
Humble, though the son of great men,
Does pride turn the rein of his perfection.
Lofty perfection does not make him arrogant.

Yet his might is fierce flames.

No human like him has ever visited a community -
From his face, gladness comes into being.
From his face, humanity originated.

Until its skin seemed dawn!
As if its expanse were dawn.

If a day comes I cannot boast of you,
With you, may no virtuous youth boast of me.
Do not boast of me, O virtuous youth.

As long as a fast departs and a feast begins.
With no fasting that concluded in Eid.
