If ever the full moon were set against your radiance, it would begin
To say, “What have you left for the sun?”

Bewildered, enamored of the light, dumbstruck.

By the dust of your sandals as perfume that revives the dead.

So have mercy and grant union to a lover whose tears were set flowing
By the radiance of your cheeks as coral and rubies.
