A camel-driver’s chant for him who made existence glad—
Praise to him who made existence happy,
with a surging wave that filled the realms with bounty.

بهما الخلافة تبلغ المقصودا
Existence found you a sun of loftiness and a lion in his lair;
He found you a sun of glory and a lion in its lair;
through both, the Caliphate attains its desired end.
through both, the caliphate attains its goal.

أرختُ أعدلَ حاكمٍ خورشيدا
When my Ministry of Justice flourished through my justice,
When my judiciary shone through my justice,
I set its chronogram: “Khurshid, the most just of rulers.”
I marked the date: “The most just ruler—Khurshid.”
