مليكةa queen حسنٍbeauty حازتshe attained الظرفelegance واللطفاand grace
Am I alone in loving her? She has surely bewitched a thousand.
She is the only one I love, for she has captivated a thousand hearts,
A queen of beauty, she has attained elegance and grace.
A queen of beauty, possessing charm and grace.
تفوقshe surpasses المهىthe oryxes جيداًin neck وزهرand the blossoms الربىof the hills فماًin mouth
وشمسand the sun الضحىof midmorning وجهاًin face وغصنand the branch النقاof the sand dune عطفاin figure
Her neck surpasses the oryxes', her mouth the blossoms of the hills,
She surpasses the radiant moon, the flowers of the meadow and the mouth,
Her face the midmorning sun, her figure the branch upon the sand dune.
The face of the bright dawn sun, the tenderness of a tender branch.

تجاوزhe surpassed حدthe bounds of اللطفgrace واستغرقand encompassed completely الظرفاelegance
I saw her young man, as bewitching in his gaze as she;
I saw a charming youth like her,
He surpassed the bounds of grace and encompassed all elegance.
Exceeding the limits of grace, and embracing charm.

وجورand the tyranny of الهوىlove يزدادincreases ياO منيتيmy heart's desire ضعفاtwofold
So I said: Through this, God weakens our patience,
I said: With this, God weakens our patience,
And love's tyranny grows twofold, O my heart's desire.
And the tyranny of passion grows, Oh my wish, weakness.

If nothing pleases you but our destruction,
If nothing satisfies you but our demise,
Then your glance suffices for us; do not weary the fawn.
Your gaze suffices, so spare the eyelids.
