خاب من كان يميلك
فيon غدthe morrow يومthe day التناديmutual calling
في غد يوم التنادي
Whoever used to sway you will come to grief,
He who leaned on you was let down
Tomorrow, on the Day of Calling.
On the day we call out each other's name
نيلناour Nile وهوand it is دليلكyour guide
نيلنا وهو دليلك
غابvanished لاmay not غابvanish خليلكyour dear friend
غاب لا غاب خليلك
Our Nile—and it is your guide—
Our Nile, it is your guide
Has vanished—may your dear friend never vanish!
Not gone, not gone is your friend
ولذاand therefore صارbecame زميلكyour companion
ولذا صار زميلك
كالذيlike one who منfrom غيرother than زادprovisions
كالذي من غير زاد
