هذا ابن يوسف شيخنا وإمامنا

ودليلنا في الدين والاحكام

ودليلنا في الدين والاحكام

This is Ibn Yusuf, our sheikh and our imam,

This is Ibn Yusuf, our sheikh and imam

And our guide in religion and legal rulings.

هذا ابن يوسف واحد في عصره

هذا ابن يوسف واحد في عصره

أعظم به من مرشد ومحام

أعظم به من مرشد ومحام

This is Ibn Yusuf, peerless in his age.

This is Ibn Yusuf, unique in his time

How great he is as a guide and defender!

With him it became greater, the guide and advocate

هذا ابن يوسف ذلك الطود الذي

هذا ابن يوسف ذلك الطود الذي

في وصفه قل عالم الاعلام

في وصفه قل عالم الاعلام

This is Ibn Yusuf, that towering mountain—

In describing him, say: 'the scholar among luminaries.'

In whose description, say the supreme authority

هذا ابن يوسف من بنور علومه

قلل ادخلوا باب الهدى بسلام

This is Ibn Yusuf, by the light of whose learning

This is Ibn Yusuf, from the light of his knowledge

It was said [uncertain reading]: 'Enter the gate of guidance in peace.'

Few, enter the door of guidance in peace

هذا ابن يوسف وابن يوسف ان تشأ

هذا ابن يوسف وابن يوسف ان تشأ

تعريفه قل مركز الاسلام

This is Ibn Yusuf; and as for Ibn Yusuf, if you wish

This is Ibn Yusuf, and if you wish, Ibn Yusuf

To describe him, say: 'the center of Islam.'

هذا ابن يوسف قدوني وامامي

This is Ibn Yusuf, the axis of the circle of guidance.

This is Ibn Yusuf, the pole of the circle of guidance

This is Ibn Yusuf, my exemplar [uncertain reading] and my imam.

This is Ibn Yusuf, my leader and imam

هذا ابن يوسف من له صيت علا

هذا ابن يوسف من له صيت علا

هامات ملك العرب والاعجام

This is Ibn Yusuf, whose renown rose above

This is Ibn Yusuf, whose fame rose high

The summits of Arab and non-Arab sovereignty.

Perplexing the kings of Arabs and non-Arabs

هذا ابن يوسف ذو التصانيف التي

هذا ابن يوسف ذو التصانيف التي

قد أعجزت ذا منطق وحسام

قد أعجزت ذا منطق وحسام

This is Ibn Yusuf, the author of works that

This is Ibn Yusuf, whose works

Have left the wielder of eloquence and sword powerless.

Have confounded the eloquent and swordsman

هذا ابن يوسف فخر كل محقق

هذا ابن يوسف فخر كل محقق

وحسام كل معاند متعام

وحسام كل معاند متعام

This is Ibn Yusuf, the pride of every discerning scholar,

This is Ibn Yusuf, pride of every researcher

And the keen sword against every obstinate, willfully blind opponent.

And sword of every obstinate transgressor
