فتقبل باحترام عددا

منه وانعم باشتراك لا تسل

So accept with respect a number

From him and be blessed with participation tire not

أيد الآداب والعلم فما

تمرة الجاه اذا لم يبتذل

Supporter of literature and knowledge so

Date of glory if not cheapened

رغب القوم وإن لم يدركوا

في ابتداء الأمر ما حكم الدول

Aspired the people even if they comprehend not

In the beginning of the matter what ruled the states

فسيدرون إذا ما اشتركوا

من زئير الأسد الأمر الجلل

For they will know when they participate

From the lion's roar the momentous matter
