خل صفي نفوسي أخي العرب
Give your pledges, trust in love, and be content with
Offer pledges, trust in affection, and look kindly upon
a loyal friend, my soul’s chosen one—my brother among the Arabs.

Who then will illumine the necklace of the chosen when

للسيرto journey معwith ركبكyour caravan الراقيascending ذرىthe summits of الرتبranks
للسير مع ركبك الراقي ذرى الرتب
The souls of a people, moved by sheer love, have gathered

to journey with your caravan as it climbs the summits of rank.

ماas long as لمnot تكنyou are قطبthe axis of هذاthis الجمعgathering زهرتهits flower
ما لم تكن قطب هذا الجمع زهرته
فارحمso have mercy on قلوباhearts وعدand return انif فزتyou succeed بالأربin attaining the desired goal
فارحم قلوبا وعد ان فزت بالأرب
unless you are the axis of this gathering, its flower.
Unless you are this gathering's axis, its flower.
So have mercy on these hearts, and return if you attain your desire.
