O master of oratory, you have risen in stature,

O master of oratory, you have grown in stature.

and through you the pulpits have brimmed with glad tidings.

ارفعن راية الهلال افتخارا

كي ترى في القلوب أعظم قدرا

Raise high the crescent’s banner in pride,

Raise the crescent's banner proudly,

so it may be held in hearts in the highest esteem.

So that hearts may hold you in greater esteem.

وتنبه أخا المحامد واحرص

وتنبه أخا المحامد واحرص

فزمان النجاح اثبت ذكرا

فزمان النجاح اثبت ذكرا

Take heed, O man of praiseworthy virtues, and strive,

And be vigilant, brother of praiseworthy deeds, and be diligent,

for an age of success endures longest in renown.

For a time of success endures longer in memory.

اغتنم فرصة التقدم حتى

تدع النشأة الحديثة بدرا

Seize the opportunity for advancement, so that

Serve learning with sincere devotion, and aspire

that the land may find in you glory and pride.

أنت ان لم تحد عن الجد يوما

غرة العصر بالمكارم احرى

غرة العصر بالمكارم احرى

You—if you never turn aside from earnest endeavor—

You, if you do not stray from diligence even for a day,

are, through noble qualities, most worthy to be the age’s crowning glory.

Are the age's shining glory, most worthy of noble deeds.

فهنيئا بك المحافل ضاءت

وبك استقبل التلاميذ خيرا
