The baths of Korbous have revealed among their benefits
The bath of Korbous has revealed, among its benefits,
what cannot be numbered, nor the telling of any mouth enumerate.
What cannot be counted or tallied by any mouth's account.
صافيpure الهواءthe air وفيand in استعمالهits use صورforms
صافي الهواء وفي استعماله صور
وكيفياتand methods بهاthrough them يلتذtakes pleasure ذوone with السقمillness
وكيفيات بها يلتذ ذو السقم
Their air is pure, and their use takes many forms,
Its air is pure, and there are various forms of use,
with modes by which the afflicted find relief.
And methods through which the ailing find delight.
الشربdrinking والعومand swimming والإسهالand purging أولهاthe first of them
الشرب والعوم والإسهال أولها
وأكلand eating لحمmeat طريtender ناضجwell-cooked اللقمthe morsels
وأكل لحم طري ناضج اللقم
First among them are drinking, bathing, and purging,
Drinking, swimming, and purging are the first of them,
and eating tender meat, its morsels well cooked.
And eating tender meat, its morsels well cooked.
هذاthis بسبعةfor seven أيامdays مقدمةinitial
هذا بسبعة أيام مقدمة
وبعدهاand after them سبعةseven خذهاtake them ولاand do not تلمfind fault
وبعدها سبعة خذها ولا تلم
This is a seven-day preliminary course;
This is for an initial seven days,
then follow it with seven more—take them, and do not blame.
And after them, take seven more, and find no fault.
ماءwater الحشائشthe herbs بعدafter الغليboiling تشربهyou drink it
ماء الحشائش بعد الغلي تشربه
عندat الصباحthe morning ترىyou see ماwhat فيهin it منof حكمwisdom
عند الصباح ترى ما فيه من حكم
Drink the water of herbs after it has boiled;
Drink the herbal water after boiling it,
in the morning you will see what wisdom lies within it.
In the morning; you will see the wisdom within it.
وبعدand after ذاthis فاحمدنthen surely praise ربLord الخلائقthe creatures إذfor
وبعد ذا فاحمدن رب الخلائق إذ
شفيhealed وأذهبand removed ماwhatever فيin الجسمthe body منof ألمpain
شفي وأذهب ما في الجسم من ألم
After this, surely praise the Lord of all creatures, for
And after this, praise the Lord of all creatures, for
He has healed and banished every pain within the body.
He healed and removed whatever pain was in the body.
سبحانglory be to مبدعthe Maker of ماwhat فيin الكونthe universe منشؤهits origin
سبحان مبدع ما في الكون منشؤه
وجاعلand who places الكلeverything بعدafter الخلقcreation فيin عدمnothingness
وجاعل الكل بعد الخلق في عدم
Glory be to the Creator of all within the universe, its Originator,
Glory be to the Maker of all that comes into being in the universe,
who consigns all things, after creation, to nonbeing.
And who consigns everything, after creation, to nothingness.
أهدىguided العبادthe servants إلىto استعمالuse حكمتهHis wisdom
أهدى العباد إلى استعمال حكمته
للانتفاعfor benefiting بمحضout of pure الفضلgrace والكرمand generosity
للانتفاع بمحض الفضل والكرم
He guided His servants to put His wisdom to use,
He guided His servants to make use of His wisdom,
that they might benefit through sheer grace and generosity.
For their benefit, out of pure grace and generosity.
