وَمَنand whoever مَنَحَbestowed الجهّالَthe ignorant علماًknowledge أَضاعَهُsquandered it
وَمَن مَنَحَ الجهّالَ علماً أَضاعَهُ
وَمَنand whoever مَنَعwithheld المَستَوجِبينَthose deserving فَقَدthen indeed ظَلمacted unjustly
وَمَن مَنَع المَستَوجِبينَ فَقَد ظَلم
And whoever bestows knowledge upon the ignorant squanders it.
Whoever grants knowledge to the ignorant wastes it
And whoever withholds it from the deserving has indeed acted unjustly.
And whoever denies it to the deserving does wrong
