وَالمَرءُand a man يَفرَحُrejoices بِالأَيّامin the days يَقطَعهاhe passes through them
وَالمَرءُ يَفرَحُ بِالأَيّام يَقطَعها
وَكُلّand every يَومٍday مَضىhas passed يَدنوdraws nearer مِنto الأَجلِthe appointed time of death
وَكُلّ يَومٍ مَضى يَدنو مِن الأَجلِ
And a man rejoices in the days he passes through,
One takes joy in days as they pass
Yet every day gone by draws him nearer to his appointed end.
Each day gone draws near to the end
