عَيناكِyour two eyes قَدindeed دَلَّتاboth have shown عَينَيَّmy two eyes مِنكِabout you عَلىto
عَيناكِ قَد دَلَّتا عَينَيَّ مِنكِ عَلى
أَشياءَthings لَولاwere it not for هُماthe two of them ماكُنتُI would not have أَرويهاrecounted them
أَشياءَ لَولا هُما ماكُنتُ أَرويها
Your eyes have revealed to mine, about you,
Your eyes have guided my eyes to things
Things I would not have recounted but for them.
I would not have seen without them.
وَالعَينُand the eye تَعلَمُknows مِنfrom عَينِthe eye of مُحَدِّثِهاthe one addressing it
وَالعَينُ تَعلَمُ مِن عَينِ مُحَدِّثِها
إِنwhether كانَhe is مِنon حِزبِهاits side أَوor مِنamong أَعاديهاits enemies
إِن كانَ مِن حِزبِها أَو مِن أَعاديها
And the eye knows, from the eye of the one addressing it,
The eye knows from the eye of the one speaking to it
Whether he is on its side or among its enemies.
Whether he is a friend or a foe.
