O You who, when harsh days oppress,

Blankets the wilderness with aid and equity,

And in whom I've entrusted my life and its events,

Whom I do not fear whether fortunes smile or gloom,

You give thousands when straits tighten their grip,

And give but three dirhams, more or less,

You continue to face the news of time with joy,

Fasting and breaking fast, in feast and ordinary days.
