    Generosity's cloud pours its rain in torrents,

    And security's shade stretches far on every side.

    And bounty's bough is leafy, and the waters of

    Noble deeds and largesse are sweet to drink,

    وَمالِكَةِ المَشارِقِ وَالمَغارِب

    Through the mistress of cities and deserts,

    And sovereign of the East and the West;

    وَخيرِ العالَمينَ وَلا أُراقِب

    Through the foremost of women—I make no exception—

    And the best of all beings—I fear no censure;

    وَإِسداءُ العَوارِفِ وَالمَواهِب

    Through her whose constant practice is benevolence

    And the bestowal of favors and gifts;

    Through her who spread a shade over humans and jinn,

    Deep and sheltering, untouched by calamities.

    May religion and the world alike rejoice,

    And earth's people, those on foot and those who ride,

    At the well-being of her whose flints of bounty spark

    With her good health, and whose star of justice shines bright.

    O shelter of widows and orphans,

    And O sea of gifts and coveted bounties,

    وَصَوبَ حَياً يَجودُ لِكُلِّ طالِب

    And O star that shines for every traveler by night,

    And shower of life-giving rain, generous to every seeker;

    إِذا ضاقَت عَلى الناسِ المَذاهِب

    And refuge of every distressed outcast,

    When people's paths grow narrow;

    إِذا ضَنَّت بِدِرَّتِها السَحائِب

    And O you who take the rain-stars' place in bounty,

    When the clouds withhold their milky flow;

    And she for whom the earth's dust soars in pride,

    Because of her tread, above the piercing stars.

    Through you the world has indeed grown fair and delightful,

    Though once it offered no clear draught to any drinker.

    When you are restored to health, all creation recovers,

    And they become safe from deadly perils.

    And sovereignty rejoices once more, and

    The boughs of its glory now stand with lofty crowns.

    May glad tidings and congratulations never flag,

    As they urge their riding camels toward her gates.

    And may long life never cease its rounds

    At the threshold of her reign, on every side.

    And may bliss clothe her in a robe of glory,

    With ample trailing hems throughout her days,

    لِدَولَتِها وَتَخدِمُهُ الكَواكِب

    With good fortune that the nights renew

    For her reign, and that the stars serve;

    And lofty fortune that brings the envious low,

    And conquering victory that subdues her foes.
