And someone said to me, when he saw me in
And one who saw me in the October cold,
Tishrin, with the cold's battalions already at hand,
When winter's battalions were complete,

In the campus's open space gathering gusts

"Are you buying a robe in which to face the winter,
"Do you want to buy a coat for the winter?
when you are our lord's poet and his scribe?"
Yet you're the poet and scribe of our master."
