خَلِّصونيrescue me مِنfrom كَفِّthe grip of حَجّامِكُمyour barber هَthis (first part of هذا)
خَلِّصوني مِن كَفِّ حَجّامِكُم هَ
ذاthis (completes هذا) فَقَدfor indeed عَزَّhas become difficult مِنfrom يَدَيهِhis two hands الخَلاصُescape
ذا فَقَد عَزَّ مِن يَدَيهِ الخَلاصُ
Rescue me from the grip of this barber of yours—
for escape from his hands has become difficult.
وَخُذوهُand hold him accountable بِماfor what جَناهُhe inflicted it بِرَأسيon my head
وَخُذوهُ بِما جَناهُ بِرَأسي
مِنَof الجُروحِwounds لِلجُروحِfor wounds قَصاصُretribution in kind
مِنَ الجُروحِ لِلجُروحِ قَصاصُ
And hold him accountable for what he has inflicted on my head:
wounds—for wounds there is retribution.
