أَرىI see فيin مَناميmy sleep كُلَّevery شَيءٍthing يَسُرُّنيdelights me
أَرى في مَنامي كُلَّ شَيءٍ يَسُرُّني
وَرُؤيايَand my vision بَعدَafter النَومِsleep أَدهىmore dreadful وَأَقبَحُand uglier
وَرُؤيايَ بَعدَ النَومِ أَدهى وَأَقبَحُ
I see in my sleep everything that delights me.
In my dreams, I see everything that delights me,
Yet my vision after sleep is more dreadful and uglier.
Yet my visions after waking are more bitter and uglier.
فَإِنso if كانَit is خَيراًgood فَهُوَthen it is أَضغاثُjumbled dreams of حالِمٍa dreamer
فَإِن كانَ خَيراً فَهُوَ أَضغاثُ حالِمٍ
وَإِنand if كانَit is شَرّاًevil جاءَcame مِنfrom قَبلِbefore أُصبِحُI reach morning
وَإِن كانَ شَرّاً جاءَ مِن قَبلِ أُصبِحُ
So if it is good, it is a dreamer's jumble of dreams.
If it was good, it is but the ramblings of a dreamer,
And if it is evil, it comes before I reach morning.
And if it was evil, it came with the morning light.
