أيِسْنَاwe have despaired منof هُدَىguidance الهادِيthe guide
أيِسْنَا من هُدَى الهادِي
وإسْعافٍand assistance وإسْعادِand bringing happiness
وإسْعافٍ وإسْعادِ
We have despaired of the guide's guidance,
We despaired of the guidance of the guide,
and of help and happiness.
Of any aid and happiness.
وصارand has become زمانُناour age أعْمَىblind
وصار زمانُنا أعْمَى
يُقدِّمgives precedence to كلَّevery قَوَّادِpimp
يُقدِّم كلَّ قَوَّادِ
And our age has become blind,
Our time has become blind,
giving precedence to every pimp.
