يُكبِّرُونthey proclaim God's greatness إذاwhen خاضُواthey plunge into بُحُورَseas of رَدىًdeath
يُكبِّرُون إذا خاضُوا بُحُورَ رَدىً
وماand not لَهُمْfor them عنfrom حِياضِpools of المَوْتِdeath تَهْلِيلُrecoiling
وما لَهُمْ عن حِياضِ المَوْتِ تَهْلِيلُ
They cry, “God is greatest,” when they plunge into seas of doom,
They proclaim God's greatness when they plunge into seas of death,
And never recoil from death’s watering pools.
and they never recoil from the pools of death.
