in his promise, I thought him mocking me,

At the appointed time, I thought he was joking with me

حتى أرى عقيق فيه قبلا

والخاتم من علامة الانجاز

والخاتم من علامة الانجاز

until he made his mouth’s carnelian behold kisses;

Until I see carnelian in it beforehand

and the seal is a sign of fulfillment.

And the ring is a sign of accomplishment
