قبلkiss يدthe hand of الخيرةthe elect أهلthe people of التقىpiety
قبل يد الخيرة أهل التقى
ولاand do not تخفfear طعنthe attacks of أعاديهمtheir enemies
ولا تخف طعن أعاديهم
Kiss the hand of the elect, the people of piety,
Greet the hands of the virtuous people
And do not fear their enemies' attacks.
Do not fear the stab of their enemies
ريحانةsweet basil الرحمنthe All-Merciful عبادهHis servants
ريحانة الرحمن عباده
وشمهاand smelling it لئمunclear as written; likely 'kissing' (لثم) أياديهمtheir hands
وشمها لئم أياديهم
His servants are the All-Merciful's sweet basil,
The merciful's basil are his servants
And smelling it is [apparently] kissing their hands.
And its aroma exposes their wicked hands
