بجُودِهin his generosity تغرقdrown الآمالُhopes حينwhen تَرَىthey behold
بجُودِه تغرق الآمالُ حين تَرَى
مَوْجَthe wave of النَّدىbounty سالflowed فيin النَّادِيthe assembly لِمنfor whoever سَأَلاَasked
مَوْجَ النَّدى سال في النَّادِي لِمن سَأَلاَ
In his generosity, hopes drown when they behold
With his generosity hopes drown when you see
the wave of bounty flowing in the assembly for whoever asks.
The wave of dew flowing in the club for those who asked
لهhe has مَوائِدُtables إحْسانٍbeneficence إذَاwhen بُسِطتْare spread
له مَوائِدُ إحْسانٍ إذَا بُسِطتْ
تدْعُوsummon الثناءَpraise إليهاto them دَعْوةan invitation الْجَفَلَىopen to all
تدْعُو الثناءَ إليها دَعْوة الْجَفَلَى
His are tables of beneficence which, when spread,
For him are tables of kindness which when laid out
summon praise to them with an invitation open to all.
Call praise to them like the call of the hungry
