Roses of hope, if smoke is inhaled, do not blame us

And be generous with forgiveness, O garden of wishes.

Be found with forgiveness, O meadow of wishes

تريد مهذّباً لا عيب فيه

وهل عودٌ يفوح بلا دخان

وهل عودٌ يفوح بلا دخان

You want a refined man with no flaw in him;

You want one well-mannered, no fault in him

And does aloeswood give off fragrance without smoke?

Is there incense that smells without smoke?
