فلا تبْخَل بتعْجيلِ السُّرورِ

I invited you, my dear friend, to come;

so do not hold back from hastening joy.

فعْمْرُ الالْتقاءِ غدا قصيراً

فعْمْرُ الالْتقاءِ غدا قصيراً

فطَوِّلْهُ بأوقاتِ البُكورِ

فطَوِّلْهُ بأوقاتِ البُكورِ

For the span of our meeting has grown short,

For the life of meeting will be short tomorrow

so lengthen it with the early morning hours.

So make it longer with the times of dawn
