I have not forgotten when the breeze brought a greeting,
I have not forgotten when the breeze offered a greeting,
and the boughs of the bān tree danced for joy at it.
at which the bān branches danced for joy,

while the clouds had woven a dusky cloak,
and the lightning was crowned with pure gold.
and lightning was a shuttle of pure gold.
