وسارقٍand a thief يسْرِقُsteals شِعْرَpoetry الورَىhumankind
وسارقٍ يسْرِقُ شِعْرَ الورَى
ويُتْبِعand follows المَنْظومَverse بالنَّثْرِwith prose
ويُتْبِع المَنْظومَ بالنَّثْرِ
And a thief who steals people's poetry
and follows verse with prose
ماnot اقْتَبسَhe quoted الآياتِthe Qur’anic verses إلاَّexcept لِمَاbecause of what
ما اقْتَبسَ الآياتِ إلاَّ لِمَا
يأْلَفهُhe is accustomed to it منof سِرْقَةِstealing الشِّعْرِpoetry
يأْلَفهُ من سِرْقَةِ الشِّعْرِ
has quoted Qur’anic verses only because of
his habit of stealing poetry.
