وقد لاط كهلاً وهو تيس سينطح
A lad who was for hire before adolescence,
A youth who once fought viciously in his prime
And in middle age has practiced sodomy—a billy goat about to butt.
Now an old goat who still longs to charge and climb
يبعhe sells برأسat the original amount of المالthe money بالسوقin the marketplace ماwhat اشترىhe bought
يبع برأس المال بالسوق ما اشترى
وكلand every اناءvessel بالذيwith that which فيهis in it ينضحexudes
وكل اناء بالذي فيه ينضح
He sells in the marketplace, at cost, what he bought;
Selling in the market what he never bought
And every vessel exudes what it contains.
