فرَش الرَّبيعُ لنا خَمائِلَ سُنْدُسٍ

مِن حولها غُدْرانُهُنَّ فَراوِزُ

مِن حولها غُدْرانُهُنَّ فَراوِزُ

Spring spread for us bowers of finest silk,

Spring spread out for us lush groves of fine silk;

Around them, their pools were turquoise gems;

Around them, their pools are ornamental borders.

ومشَى بها سارِي الصَّبا مُتَسَلِّلاً

ومشَى بها سارِي الصَّبا مُتَسَلِّلاً

وعليه أعْيُنُ نُورِه تَتَغامَزُ

وعليه أعْيُنُ نُورِه تَتَغامَزُ

And through them walked the night-roving zephyr, slipping stealthily,

And the night-roaming east breeze walked stealthily through them,

While the eyes of its light exchanged winks at him.

While the eyes of its blossoms exchanged winks at him.
