فَتْحَthe opening of المُلاقِيone greeting لمعالِيهِhis lofty virtues
Since the doors of the hall of glory were opened,
Since the doors of the exalted club opened
as one opens them to greet his lofty virtues,
Opening for its sublime virtues

علىto مُرَجٍone hoping لأيادِيهِfor his favors
the doors did not creak, but offered welcome
The doors did not close, but rather welcomed
to one hoping for his favors.
To a meadow for its hands

Likewise, the pens upon his parchment—
Such are the pens in its school
their scratching expresses thanks for his favors.
Their scratching is gratitude for its hands

And the water, with its murmur, complains to him
And the water complains with a murmur
of its parting from the garden of his hall.
Its separation from its club's garden
