قلتُI said لمَّاwhen عَذَّبوهthey tormented him فَغَداand so he became
قلتُ لمَّا عَذَّبوه فَغَدا
مَثَلاًa byword يُسْرِعُhastens فيin خَيطِa thread of اخْتلاطْconfusion
مَثَلاً يُسْرِعُ في خَيطِ اخْتلاطْ
I said, when they tormented him and he became
When they tortured him, so the next morn he was
a byword, hastening along a thread of confusion:
An example threading the line of execution,
عُذْرُthe excuse of مَولايَmy lord الذيwhich جاءhe came بهwith it
عُذْرُ مَولايَ الذي جاء به
مِثْلُlike ضَمِّclenching الاسْتِthe anus منfrom بعدِafter الضُّراطْfarting
مِثْلُ ضَمِّ الاسْتِ من بعدِ الضُّراطْ
My lord's excuse, which he brought forth,
The excuse of my Master which he brought
is like clenching the anus after farting.
Was like pressing the warp after the woof.
