زهى الورد الجنيّ بوجنتيه

ومن سور العذار له سياج

The freshly plucked rose shone upon his cheeks;

The rose's beauty adorned my cheeks

And a wall of cheek-down forms its fence.

And the chastity's wall was its fence

فلو ظهر الوشاة عليه يوما

فلو ظهر الوشاة عليه يوما

لها جوا مثل يأجوج وماجوا

لها جوا مثل يأجوج وماجوا

So if the slanderers surmounted it one day,

So if the slanderers attacked it one day

They would rage like Gog and surge.

They would face a flood like Gog and Magog
