ليهنك شمسَ الدينِ فرعُك مشبهٌ

ليهنك شمسَ الدينِ فرعُك مشبهٌ

سجاياك والقطرُ الشهيّ من الطخا

سجاياك والقطرُ الشهيّ من الطخا

May your branch gladden you, Shams al-Din, resembling

Your sunlit branch resembles the virtuous,

your character; sweet rain comes from the clouds.

Your character is like precious drops of rain,

ودلك من جود الإله وفضله

ودلك من جود الإله وفضله

ففرعك من جود وأصلك من سخا

ففرعك من جود وأصلك من سخا

And that is from God's bounty and grace;

Your generosity comes from God's grace,

so your branch springs from bounty, and your root from Sakhā.

Your branch from charity, your root from glory.
